TEHRAN, February 16 - Iran and India finalized talks for $900 million Indian finance for a rail linking between Chabahar and Zahedan, the provincial capital of Iran's Sistan-Baluchestan, said Iranian Deputy Minister of Road and Urban Development Kheirollah Khademi.
TEHRAN,Young Journalists Club (YJC) - The project would take 3.5 years to be accomplished, he said, adding the Iranian side would be in charge of infrastructuring and pavement which include 70 percent of the project, and the remaining 30 percent would be carried out by India.
He said India would be also in charge of quality control and supervising the project.
He said 47 percent of the infrastructuring of the project has been accomplished and it has progressed by 30 percent overall.
He expressed hope that the finance deal would be signed by the two sides during Iranian President Hassan Rouhani’s current visit to India.
