Iran, Azerbaijan in talks to drop dollar of commercial exchanges

TEHRAN, February 16 - Directors of central banks of Iran and Azerbaijan are in talks to drop dollar in their bilateral commercial exchanges, said Azeri Ambassador to Iran Bunyad Hasanov.

Iran, Azerbaijan in talks to drop dollar of commercial exchangesTEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Directors of central banks of Iran and Azerbaijan have visited one another countries over last 15 months, he said, adding they have exchanged 6 delegations discussing ways to drop dollars in their bilateral commercial exchanges.

“As far as I know, Iran and Azerbaijan jointly own 10 companies whose products are not only exported to the two countries, but also are sent to other markets.”

He added that the two countries are going to establish two more joint companies in auto-manufacturing and making pharmaceuticals soon.

Hasanov added Iran-Azerbaijan commercial exchanges grew by 70 percent in 2016.

Over 500 Iranian companies are working in Azerbaijan in commercial, production and exports fields, he said.
