TEHRAN, February 14 - Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif met with Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi and Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah in Kuwait.
TEHRAN,Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Zarif is in Kuwait for Iraq’s reconstruction conference.
During a meeting with al-Abadi, the two sides discussed ways to boost bilateral ties between Iran and Iraq and conferred on the recent developments in the region.
Zarif said Iran is seeking reconstruction of Iraq after defeat of Daesh and unity of Iraq.
He said Iran is after boosting cooperation with Iraq in all fields, adding Iranian companies are willing to have extensive cooperation with Iraq.
In a separate meeting with Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, the two sides conferred on bilateral, regional and international issues.
Zarif also said the conference is of high importance and expressed hope that Iraqi neighbors and the international community could repair damages made by terrorists.
Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, for his part, appreciated participation of the Islamic Republic of Iran, saying that problems and disputes among regional countries and neighbors should be settled through diplomatic means and talks.
