TEHRAN, February 10 - Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi rejected recent allegations, saying that Iranian forces’ presence in Syria are is on international rules and regulations.

Iran says forces’ presence in Syria based on int’l rules, regulationsTEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - “Presence of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Syria is because of Syrian legitimate government’s demand and it in line with fighting terrorism,” he said.

“Accordingly, Iranian forces’ presence in Syria is entirely based on international rules and regulations.”

He rejected certain European officials’ claims on Iran’s activities in Syria, saying that Iran’s presence in Syria is for military advise.

He said that the international community had faced many challenges by Daesh and al-Nusra terrorist groups if Iran would not have had military activities over past years.
