TEHRAN, February 9 - Iran’s petrochemical products output reached $20 billion, said Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Zangeneh.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - He said petrochemical products are Iran’s largest non-oil exports.
Last September, Iran considerably increased its export of petrochemical products in a four-month period.
"We have witnessed a 12 percent increase in the volume of petrochemical exports over past four months as compared with the previous year's corresponding period," Director for Production Control in National Iranian Petrochemical Company (NPC) Ali Mohammad Bosaqzadeh said.
He noted that the value of petrochemical products exported from Iran has also increased by four percent.
Bosaqzadeh also noted that a number of new petrochemical projects will come on stream later this year to further boost output capacity, and said, "Partnership of local banks and attraction of foreign investors can enhance the process."
