TEHRAN, February 7 - Armenia stressed boosting bilateral economic cooperation with Iran.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Armenian Parliament Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov said his country is ready to expand bilateral economic, commercial and trade ties with Iran.
He also called for presence of Iranian companies in Armenian commercial and economic projects and Armenian Meghri Free Zone.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran is playing a very crucial and influential role in the contemporary world and Caucasus,” he said in a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Armenia kazem Sajjadi in Yerevan.
He also appreciated Iran’s balanced position to the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh district.
Sharmazanov also called for using entire potential of the two sides to develop bilateral economic and commercial cooperation.
