Tehran, YJC. Defense Minister has said that his office will give special attention to technological developments.
The new Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics of the
Islamic Republic of Iran Hossein Dehqan said in a news conference on Saturday morning
"The Ministry of Defense programs in recent situations will be undertaken with
an approach to make possible a technological takeoff and applied by adopting the
fourth generation technological indices.”
Dehqan also pointed to the regional disturbances and said "The spread of unrest in Egypt and insecurity over the region has created a security hole in the northern Africa and has paved the way for the presence of ultra-regional forces which can in the long run change the power balance in favor of the West and the Zionist regime.”
He then pointed to recent disturbances in Lebanon and said "There are signs of a complicated, multifaceted program derived from Syrian developments to create sectarian, ethnic, and religious clash with the objective to weaken the anti-Israeli resistance front and to spread insecurity through Lebanon.”
Dehqan thanked his predecessor Ahmad Vahidi and added "The Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics will have the least amount or change at different administrative and executive levels.”
