Tehran, YJC. Alaeddin Boroujerdi says that a meeting must be held with foreign ministers of Islamic countries to make a way out of regional crises.

Head of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Majlis of the Islamic Republic of Iran Alaeddin Boroujerdi said in an interview with YJC "It is necessary that a joint work be done for solving the regional crisis, and that a meeting be held with foreign ministers of Islamic countries so that they would exchange ideas for eliminating the regional crisis.”

He said "The US and the Zionist regime intend to afflict Islamic countries with domestic problems. To do so, they use the Takfiri groups, which are devout US agents, and their regional allies.”

Boroujerdi also pointed to the recent bombing in Lebanon and said "The recent bombing which took place in Lebanon was a US-Zionist plot, organized in order to disturb security in Lebanon.”

He demanded that the Islamic world keep vigilant in order to diffuse enemy’s schemes for the region.

He also expressed concern over developments in Egypt and hoped that the country’s elite will manage to save the country and prevent sedition.

"The Organization of Islamic Cooperation must play its role in this and it must not let the world see more of the pitiable slaughter of the oppressed Egyptian nation,” he asserted.

He also pointed out that the Security Committee is in constant contact with the new Foreign Ministers and matters on the region are frequently talked over.
