TEHRAN, February 1 - Special Adviser on International Affairs to the Iranian Parliament speaker Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said Tehran-Moscow cooperation has had a strong influence in fighting with terrorism.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - In a meeting with Russian Ambassador to Tehran Levan Jagarian, he said, “Russia is a friendly and important neighbor to the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
The two sides are resolute to expand all-out ties and cooperation, he said, adding, Iran-Russia cooperation over Syria has had a considerable effect in battle against terrorism in the region.
He noted that multilateral, regional and international cooperation between Tehran and Moscow is quite effective in settlement of important crises.
The Islamic Republic of Iran believes that instability in the region is harmful to all countries, he said, adding Iran supports development of stability and security in the region.
Levan Jagarian, for his part, assured that Iran-Russia cooperation would press ahead with bilateral ties in all fields.
“Iran and Russia share similar views on many international matters and have been able to act quiet influentially in settlement of regional crises, specially Syria,” he said.
