TEHRAN, January 29 - Russia State Duma approved a bill on extraditing convicts with Iran.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Based on the law, convicts living in the territory of the two countries could be extradited to the relevant country for execution of their sentences.
The MoU was already signed on March 28, 2017 in Moscow in presence of Iranian and Russian presidents to develop international legal bases for Iran-Russia cooperation.
It was then certified by Russian President Vladimir Putin and the State Duma.
Approving the law means defending legal interests of Iranian and Russian citizens in the two countries.
