TEHRAN, January 23 - Iranian First Vice President Esha’aq Jahangiri said that the country supports cooperation and joint industrial production with Belarus.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - “Iran’s friends, including Belarus are of a unique position and special importance for cooperation (with Iran) in various fields,” he said in a meeting with Belarusian Minister of Industries Vitaly Mikhailovich Vovk here in Tehran.
Iran and Belarus are enjoying potential for boosting bilateral cooperation, he said, adding, “The two countries hold good potential in industry, and the suggestion of joint cooperation in combine harvester and truck (with Belarus) is a very good idea and Iran is completely ready for this.”
Jahangiri praised Iran’s achievements in pharmaceuticals and exporting indigenous medicine, saying that the country is ready for cooperation with Belarus in this field.
Jahangiri noted that Iran and Belarus can also jointly work in advanced technologies and military industries as well as oil sector.
Iran is ready to increase oil sale to Belarus, he said, adding, some agreements are required for financial exchanges mechanism and Iran is ready to provide Belarusian oil under the agreement.
Vitaly Mikhailovich Vovk, for his part, said his country is after expanding cooperation with Iran in pharmaceuticals, railway, electronic transport and joint production.
He said that he and his accompanying delegation have held talks with Iranian officials to provide new grounds for mutual cooperation and design a roadmap to boost trade exchanges by 2020.
“Belarus is ready to work with Iran in producing combine harvester and truck, and share its know-how with Iran.”
