Rouhani makes Jahangiri First VP

Tehran, YJC. The President has appointed Eshaq Jahangiri as the First Vice President.

The Presidential website reports that Rouhani has chosen Eshaq Jahangiri as the First Vice President of Iran.

The decree reads:

In the name of God, the compassionate, the merciful

Dear Mr. Eshaq Jahangiri,

According to article 124 of the Constitution and with respect to your degrees of competency and long record in successful administration in executive and legislative positions, hereby I select you as the "First Vice President”.

I wish you success in serving the honorable nation of Iran and the Islamic Revolution with God’s blessing and the cooperation of the government members and by adherence to the law, moderation, and the ethical charter of the administration of insight and hope.
