TEHRAN, January 20 - Iranian Deputy Ambassador to the United Nations Es'haq Al-e Habib said the country has accomplished over 300 small and large projects in Afghanistan.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Iran has always stressed boosting cooperation with Afghanistan as a gift to establish peace and security in the region, he noted.
Iran has accomplished over 300 small and large developmental and infrastructure projects in Afghanistan worth over $500 million, including building Chabahar Port jointly with India and Afghanistan and Khaf-Herat railway, he said.
Al-e Habib also said Iran has implemented plans on training human resources and transferring expertise to Afghans to provide them with the capability for rebuilding their country.
The plans have changed economic landscape in Afghanistan and helped economic stability and boom in the country, he continued.
The Iranian ambassador said Iran has hosted millions of Afghan refugees over last three decades and provided them with health and training services.
