Tehran, YJC. The elderly has managed to receive his B.Soc.Sci in a course of 11 years.

Heidari is the 82-year-old elderly from Shishvan, East Azerbaijan. He finished
high school 37 years ago in literature and humanities.
Mirqanbar
took the university entrance exam for the first time in 1977, but failed. He kept
taking the exam year after year until he passed it in 2001.
Besides
studying, he had to take care of his wife who had gone blind in 1997.
The
university which had accepted him was in another city and so he had to get a
transfer to Tabriz which was closer by.
"I
would wake up at 5:00 because it was 120 kilometers from home to the
university,’ he said.
Qanbari
has written a book and signed up for the parliamentary and presidential
elections a number of times.
He says
he intended to become President and defend the poor.
Right
now he is planning to pursue his studies at the post-graduate level.
