TEHRAN, January 16 - Iran’s FM Spokesman slammed US’s forming a new border force in Syria and called it an actual interference in countries, which leads to the complication of the Syrian crisis and destabilization of the country.

TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - “What should be hesitated is that this decision of the American is revealed in a time when Syria’s Army and its allies have achieved great victories in fighting terrorist groups of Deash and al-Nusra Front” Ghasemi noted.

The Spokesman asserted that Iran along with Russia and Turkey tries to settle the crisis in Syria through the Astana talks and creation of de-escalation zones, and has achieved great successes.

Its time US changes its meddling and destructive policies in the region, withdraw its forces from the country as soon as possible, and let the people of the country decide about their fate as the way they want” Ghasemi stressed.

The US announced Sunday that it will work, along with a coalition of its allies purportedly fighting Daesh, with US-backed militants of the so-called Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to set up a new 30,000-strong “border security” force.

The force would operate along the Turkish border with Iraq and within Syria along the Euphrates River.

Washington’s plan has drawn angry reactions from Syria, Turkey and Russia. Syria views the formation of such a border force as an assault on its sovereignty.

The US and its allies back militants fighting to topple the Syrian government. American warplanes have also been bombing Syria since September 2014 without any authorization from Damascus or a UN mandate.

The airstrikes have on many occasions resulted in civilian casualties, seriously damaged Syria's infrastructure and failed to fulfill their declared aim of countering terror.
