TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - The Iranian Cultural Center plans to hold an educational course on the Islamic art of Taz'hib (illumination) starting from January ۲۰.
Arash Geroyian, an Iranian artist residing in Thailand will be the instructor of the 10-day course.
The program will include practical and theoretical lessons in Persian and English.
The history of illumination in Iran, schools of the art, miniature painting and styles and techniques of the art will be the themes of the course.
The students will practice the floral and geometric patterns and get acquainted with some Quranic stories and poems of famous Iranian poets such as Hafiz, Sa’di, Ferdowsi as well.
The artist added that the participants in the course, whether Iranian or Thai, should be familiar with the concepts of Islam, Shia and Islamic-Iranian culture and civilization in order to be successful in this field of art.
