TEHRAN, January 10 - An Iranian nuclear official said that the country is capable of multiplying the pace of its nuclear activities specially in enrichment field, compared to the time when an international deal on its nuclear program had not yet been concluded, implying that that will happen if the United States violates the deal.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - The pace, level and percentage of enrichment depend on the situation and decision of Iranian officials, Behrouz Kamalvandi, who is the spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) said.
He said that in case suspension of sanctions against Iran is not extended, it means "violating the nuclear deal, and the Islamic Republic of Iran will accordingly take the required steps."
In case suspension of sanctions is not extended on the scheduled date, Iran would start counter-measures on the same day or next days, he said.
"We have told the IAEA director general that in case the circumstances change, our relations with the IAEA will change too."
He said that Iran's counter-measures would depend on the special situation in that time and decision of senior Iranian officials.
