TEHRAN, January 4 - Iranian embassy in London has sent a letter to Ofcom, calling for monitoring certain Persian-language news media established in Britain.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - An informed source in the embassy said that the measure came after some of the media have openly broken internal rules of Britain and international rules and have done much to persuade protestors to start riots and armed conflicts in Iran.
The source said that Ofcom should take required measures to stop making news in a destructive way by these networks to protect providing information in a professional way.
The Office of Communications, commonly known as Ofcom, is the UK government-approved regulatory and competition authority for the broadcasting, telecommunications and postal industries of the United Kingdom.
