Tehran, YJC. President has said that Iran is the number one country in fighting road accidents.
Speaking in the
Coordination Council of Transportation and Immunity on Wednesday evening
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad expressing gratitude to related entities said "Thank God,
in the past few years we have had the most reduction in the casualties and
accidents on the roads.”
He considered the technical
expertise gained through the years a great asset and asserted the need for
experience on this ground to be systematically organized and offered to other countries.
"We must try to preserve
the unity and amity that is created among organizations in terms of traffic
control and road accidents,” he asserted.
In this session a number of
plans were addressed, including the preparation of an exhaustive plan for urban
transportation, the operation of a comprehensive national portal for domestic
shipping, tapping more into the country’s rail transportation system, the
establishment of an all-inclusive and well-organized management system on
accidents, and the necessity for the country’s High Council on Transportation
and Immunity act to lay or remove limits on car manufacturers.
