Jamal Mulla Mahmoud said in an interview with Fars news agency’s local reporter that the reason for forming independent Kurd regions has been to create a wall against the inimical actions of Turkey, adding "The independence regions are not separate from the central Syrian government or do not make a federal government.”
He asserted "Practically the Kurd regions are independent, especially while the Al-Nusra Front is attacking Kurd regions and villages.”
Pointing to the Turkish support behind the Al-Nusra Front, Head of the Durkistan Democratic Party of Syria said "The Kurd’s military control over Ras al-Ayn and some villeges which were attacked by the al-Nusra Front, has necessitated forming an independence region for the Kurd areas until the end of the Syrian crisis.”
"Turkey has advocated Al-Nusra Front to endanger Syria’s stability, security, and territorial integrity,” he added.
He further said that the independent governance will go beyond Ras al-Ayn to cover al-Hasakah, Afrin, al-Darbasiyah, Ayn al-Arab, and al-Qamishli.
