TEHRAN, December 23 - Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said Pakistan’s conference on challenges of terrorism and inter-regional connectivity aims at finding solution to fight terrorism.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - China, Russia, Iran, Turkey, Afghanistan and Pakistan are taking part in the conference.
He made the remarks ahead of his departure to Pakistan.
Holding the conference shows that regional countries have changed their views about big countries’ strategy of settlement of issues, he said, adding since these cross-regional countries failed to perform well in Syria and Iraq and it was regional countries which fought terrorism and Daesh.
Larijani is going to meet with parliament speakers and representatives of countries attending the conference.
He would also meet with officials of Pakistan and other countries on economic cooperation.
A three-day Speakers’ Conference is being held at Islamabad from 23rd to 25th December, 2017.
The conference, which is hosted by National Assembly of Pakistan, will focus on Parliamentary cooperation for peace, connectivity and prosperity in the region, according to Pakistan National Assembly website.
