Salehi says he has been offered no place in next Iranian nuclear negotiation team

Tehran, YJC. Minister of Foreign Affairs says that he does not know if he is going to be a member of the Iranian nuclear negotiation team in the Rouhani administration.
Fars news agency reports that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Aliakbar Salehi said regarding the continuation of the nuclear talks with the Six Powers "No correspondence is made yet, but the negotiations are sure to be continued. We are only waiting for Mr. Rouhani to officially adopt the responsibility and then to assign the negotiating group. They have also expressed readiness to initiate the talks.”

In answer to a question whether he has been asked to join the negotiating team he said that no such thing has been mentioned to him at the time being.

He also pointed to the President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s visit to Iraq and said "The preparations for this visit were done last year but it was delayed due to Mr. Talabani’s unfavorable health conditions until now. But now we are going to pay the visit.”
