Tehran, YJC. Rouhani has answered Assad’s letter of congratulation, stressing cooperation to fight enemies.

wrote "Deep, old relations of Iran and Syria indicate the 
two nation’s
determination to fight the enemies of regional countries, the Zionist regime in
particular.”
Rouhani reassured that with good offices of benevolent, peace-loving forces, the great Syrian nation will be able to pass the current situations and preserve its independence and territorial integrity.
Thanking the Syrian President for his letter, Hassan Rouhani asserted "No doubt the deep and old relations of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Syrian Arab Republic shows the two nations’ resolution for extensive cooperation in economic and political spheres, as well as coping with the schemes of the enemies of regional countries, especially the Zionist regime.”
