TEHRAN, December 11- Oman’s ambassador to Tehran called for closer cooperation with Iran to help address the regional conflicts.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Continuation of parliamentary and political consultations between Iran and Oman would contribute to the settlement of the regional crises, Saud bin Ahmad al-Barwani said in a meeting with Hossein Amir Abdollahian, an adviser to Iran’s Parliament speaker, held in Tehran on Sunday.
The Omani ambassador also stressed the need for political approaches and dialogue for resolving the regional problems.
The Iranian adviser, for his part, hailed the Sultanate of Oman for its major role in the settlement of the regional and international conflicts.
Iran and Oman enjoy age-old and close ties and their relations have become even closer after the two sides' agreements to boost mutual cooperation specially on economic fields.
