Tehran, YJC. Reports say that the Iranian automobile industry has started negotiations with Chinese car manufacturers, hoping to find a way out of agonizing sanctions.

industry expert said in interview with ISNA "Major Iranian car manufacturers
have started negotiations with Chinese
manufacturers. Some of the managers are
now consulting Chinese manufacturers for cooperation.”Shahram
Azadi, faculty member at Khajeh Nasiredding Tousi University said in answer to
the question what approaches do the car manufacturers adopt to fight sanctions "The
short-term approach is to cooperate with car manufacturers in countries like
China.”
Azadi
meanwhile expressed contempt for the production of Chinese automobiles in Iran and
said "Personally I do not like Chinese cars to be manufactured in Iran, because
in the past the Chinese car industry used to be behind Iran’s. So we must not
produce Chinese cars in Iran.”
He added that currently major car manufacturers of the
country are looking for some way to circumvent the sanctions, believing that these
companies are sure to start coop
