Tehran, YJC. Official says that problems rose due to sanctions and that sanction is anything that stops the country to thrive.
The
Minister of Industry, Mine, and Trade of the Islamic Republic of Iran in an
interview with Mehr News Agency on Sunday stated that a main factor in the problems
of the country has been the sanctions, adding "Sanctions apply to anything that
would help the growth of the country’s economy.”
Mahdi
Qazanfari added "If sanctions were only about trade banks, we could have worked
with trade banks in neighbor countries; or if they were about some currencies,
we could do with other ones.”
"Even
if it was only about oil, we would have found an alternative for oil. But sanctions
apply to anything that helps the economy of the country thrive. All aspects
must be evaluated anyways,” he said.
