Tehran, YJC. Official says that Iran has eradicated the need to import Rls2000 billion cancer drugs by producing them with Rls20 billion.
Minister
of Health said in an interview with Mehr News Agency that Iran has been able to
produce 9 cancer treatment drugs and eliminate the need for import them.
Mohammad
Hassan Tariqat Monfared said that Iran has had unique advancement in hi-tech drug
production, adding "The 9 cancer drugs which were unveiled today used to be
imported for Rls2000. But with Rls20 in research we have been able to produce
them ourselves.”
He also
said that Iranian researchers have lately developed the first domestic vaccine
for influenza.
Providing
comments on other advancements in medical engineering, he added that besides
laser equipment, researchers have managed to produce small monitors that would
show the vital signs of a patient.
