TEHRAN, December 4 - Hungarian Minister of National Economy Mihaly Varga said there is no reason to change or violate Iran’s 2014 nuclear deal with P5+1.

Hungarian minister: No reason to violate, change Iran’s nuclear dealTEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - “Hungary as an independent country and EU member will defend Iran’s nuclear deal, because it is an international and very important agreement and there is no reason to violate or change the deal,” Varga said in a meeting with Iranian First Vice President Esha’aq Jahangiri.

Hungary has always regarded Iran as a gate to central Asia, he said.

Budapest has tried to preserve diplomatic ties with Iran as much as possible even at the time of sanctions, Varga noted.

He also stressed removing baking problems between Iran and Hungary and called for establishing direct flight between the two countries.

“The move could boost economic ties and is a step for welfare of students and tourists of the two countries.”

Jahangiri, for his part, said Iran welcomes boosting bilateral relations with the EU, and especially Hungary.

He also said that the two countries can work in industry, oil, energy, gas and tourism.

“Hungarian businessmen and private sectors interested in cooperation and joint investment in Iran will be supported by the Islamic Republic of Iran’s government.”

He also called for removing banking problems hindering development of commercial ties between the two countries, saying that although progress has been made in settlement of banking problems, we are still away from the desirable status.
