Snowden has not requested refuge from Iran

Tehran, YJC. Araqchi has said that so far there has been no request by Snowden to take refuge in Iran.

Foreign Ministry Spokesman Abbas Araqchi said in an interview with Tasnim "Edward Snowden has so far not requested for refuge in Iran and will surely not do so.”

He asserted "The fact that someone adopts such a position shows the depth of the illegal actions by the US intelligence and security organizations.”

In this regards an Iranian former diplomats Mohammad Hassan Ghadiri Abyaneh had said in his blog that if the US does not expel the MKOs as terrorist group, Iran will consider sheltering Snowden.
