TEHRAN, November 30 - Iran said that US policies are root of threat, insecurity and problem in the region.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi rejected US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson’s hostile remarks that Iran is a threat to the region, saying, “Policies and behavior of the US administration in the region and world is the cause of threat, insecurity, expanding terrorism and numerous problems.”
He made the remarks after Tillerson’s warmongering comments that Iran’s nuclear threat should be dealt with to prevent formation of an atomic threat like North Korea.
Qassemi called these allegations as shameful lies and an excuse for Washington to press ahead with hostile and anti-Iran policies.
“This is a strategic mistake by the US officials,” he said.
The Iranian official continued that nuclear policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran are entirely transparent and in line with using advantages of the expertise in civilian and peaceful domains which have been frequently verified by the IAEA.
