TEHRAN, November 26 - Iranian IRGC Commander-in-Chief said Basij made major contributions in Resistance Front victories.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Attending in a congregation of Iranian Mobilized Forces (Basij) on the occasion of the Basij week in Imam Khomeini Mausoleum, Tehran, Brigadier General Mohammad Ali Jfari said Basij has played key role in all areas and brought about achievements for Islamic revolution, undergoing all pressures.
IRGC Commander-in-Chief said that Basij played a significant role in Resistance Front victories which showed Bassij has transmitted to other countries as an experience.
“Basij has turned to a model for resistance of the region’s nations such as Lebanon’s Hezbollah and and a hundred thousand of trained people as well as Iraq's massive army of Hashd al-Sha’abi, and the similar in Yemen and other countries, with the experiences transmitted” General Jafri added.
He highlighted Imam Khomeini's command for the formation of Islam’s Global Mobilization (Basij), and explained that Imam Khomeini commanded that the core of resistance be formed in Islamic countries.
“Our war is a war of ideas and knows no geography and borders, and we saw that in Syria Muslims from Islamic countries attended voluntary to fight against the enemy”.
General Jafari said that every where and in every crisis Basij which is formed of big popular forces mobilized appear and resolve that crisis even if it is a world war.
He asserted that the Syrian crisis was a real world war in which the world’s super powers were playing role, but finally they failed.
General Jafari addressed also Iranian governors remarking them that they should know big social and economic problems in the country will not be resolved without the presence of people and Basij.
