TEHRAN, November 26 - Iranian FM Spokesman says US tries to digress the general public’s attention from Saudi’s brutalities against Yemeni people.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Pointing out to the White House statement on a Saudi’s political act of opening a port to the Yemenis it has so far blockaded, Bahram Ghasemi dismissed any charge against Iran for violating UN’s Security Council resolutions and said “Islamic Republic of Iran will not hesitate to make any effort for reflecting the Yemeni people’s cry of litigation for being oppressed to the world”
“We have repeatedly and on occasions stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran has no military ties with Yemen, and that its defense and missile capabilities are entirely internal and solely related to the country itself” he added.
Ghasemi noted that the US, whimsically accusing Iran of violating UNSC resolutions, tries to digress the general public and international communities’ attention from Saudi’s anti-human brutalities against Yemenis and instead of preventing the Saudi regime from bombarding innocent civilians in Yemen, frankly supports the regime to continue its horrifying brutalities.
“No doubt the White House joint statement will further reveal the US’s responsibility and participation in Saudi Arabia’s brutalities against Yemen” Ghasemi said.
The Islamic Republic of Iran has repeatedly said, stressed the FM Spokesman, that it welcomes all initiatives which leads to the transfer of humanitarian aid to Yemen and reduces the suffering of the people of this country.
