Iran Blood Transfusion Organization calls for donations in Ramadan

Tehran, YJC. Official says that donating blood during the Ramadan does not do any harm to the body.

Fars reports that Head of the Qom Blood Transfusion Organization said that donating blood is not only recommended by religious references, but it does not expose the donator to any harm in Ramadan.

Ali Elahi provided comments on the ways to safely donate blood and said "It is recommended that donators drink enough water during their dawn meal before they come for donation. If they drink enough water there will be no problem for donating blood even if they are fasting.”
