TEHRAN, November 14 - Head of Iran’s Customs Organization Foroud Asgari said the country is a safe route for goods transfer.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - “Iran shares ground borders with 15 countries. It is a safe corridor or route for transfer of countries’ goods from North to South, from Caspian Sea to Indian Ocean,” he said in a meeting with President of World Customs Organization (WCO) Kunio Mikuriya here in Tehran.
There are 149 customs, 8 free zones and 66 special economic zones in Iran and Iran given its geopolitical position is of special status in transferring goods, Asgari said.
He said that Iran has implemented projects with Turkey for exchanging goods data electronically.
Iran is going to do the same thing with Azerbaijan, he noted.
