TEHRAN, November 13 - Managing Director of Iran's National Gas Company announced that the refinery’s activities were put to a halt following the recent earthquake on the Iran-Iraq border.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Managing Director of Iran's National Gas Company Hamidreza Iraqi said “Based on the safety checks the facility is in good shape and remains unharmed, but it has been shut down for safety measures.
He added “Gas lines to earthquake struck areas have been cut off and rescue teams are looking into the conditions, and after door to door inspections the gas lines will be reconnetcted”
He also said “After the rerunning of gas lines if a client still doesnt have gas they can inform the relief teams so if their pipes are secure they can be reactivated”
Last night a magnitude 7.6 Richter quake struck the Iran-Iraq border region.
