TEHRAN, November 11 - Over 40 European food industries companies are in Iran for Iran-EU economic activists session.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) -There are considerable potential for cooperation in Iranian market in dairy, meet, other food stuff and chocolate, European Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development Phil Hogan said in the session.
Over 40 good companies from 19 EU countries are attending the event, he added.
“Iran is a very young country and there are many consumers which is a good opportunity for Europe. Iranian government is after improving Iranian food industries.
Providing path of cooperation in food industries makes in necessary for Iranian companies to find needs of customers and take good steps in processing food industries,” he said.
“A good coverage will be made in establishing food chains. For this goal, we will try to cooperate well.”
Asked about EU’s position on US sanctions on Iran, he said, “The EU is committed to the nuclear deal regardless of US positions. Some sessions were held last week during which EU leaders frequently announced their commitments to the nuclear deal.”
