US, Israel, Saudi seeking ways to destroy Iran nuclear deal: AnalystTEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) -The administration of US President Donald Trump along with Israel and Saudi Arabia are trying to create a pretext for destroying the Iran nuclear deal and exert more on the Islamic Republic, says an American analyst.

Mark Dankof, a former US Senate candidate, made the remarks in an interview with Press TV about International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Yukiya Amano’s confirmation of Iran’s compliance with the deal during a recent US visit.

On Thursday, Amano met with US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley in New York, where they discussed the UN nuclear watchdog’s verification and monitoring of Iran’s implementation of its nuclear-related commitments under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Amano called the JCPOA a significant gain for nuclear verification, and reiterated that Iran is in compliance with the provisions of the 2015 nuclear deal with the world powers.

Although the IAEA has repeatedly verified Iran’s compliance with the deal, US President Donald Trump delivered an anti-Iran speech on October 13, in which he said he would not continue to certify Iran’s compliance and warned that he might ultimately terminate the agreement.

“It is simply a question of Trump giving what he knows is an overwhelmingly pro-Zionist pro-Israel and pro-lobby element in the US Congress and both major houses of Congress the right to falsify what it is that Iran is doing and the right to ignore what the IAEA has said,” Dankof told Press TV on Friday.

“This is obviously another attempt on the part of key people within the Trump administration and on Capitol Hill, who are controlled by Israel, to destroy this arrangement and produce a series of circumstances where the United States, and Israel and Saudi Arabia can take further illegitimate aggressive actions towards Iran,” he added.

He noted that if the American people wanted more wars and deaths they had to listen to what the Trump administration was spewing against Iran.

“But I would suggest that they listen to the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff [Joseph Dunford] and that they listen to their own intelligence agencies and they listen to the IAEA and recognize that Iran is in full compliance and that the United States needs a full working honest diplomatic relationship with that country,” Dankof concluded.
