TEHRAN, November 5 - President of Swedish Volvo Trucks Cales Nilson said the company is going to expand its activities and investment in Iran.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - “We are making products in Iran using the same expertise we use for our products in Europe. We have made an investment for making truck bodies and we are going to increase the volume of our investment in this field,” he said.
He said the company had a $6 million investment to develop truck FH quality, adding it has invested $55 million in production lines in Iran so far.
Cales Nilson added that the investment is not enough and has to be increased. “We are making efforts to develop cooperation with our Iranian partner Saipa Diesel in form of either joint venture or current cooperation.”
He said that Volvo Trucks and Saipa Diesel would have talks in coming weeks over ways to expand cooperation, especially in after-sales-services and investment for making new products.
