Tehran, YJC. The Foreign Ministry has said that 7 Slovaks were arrested visiting Iran.
The
Islamic Republic of Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesman Abbas Araqchi
said on Monday "7 Slovaks who had visited Iran as tourists showed
unconventional behavior and carried unconventional equipment. The police
arrested them for violating the country’s rules.”
He added
"Investigations on the issue continue and we have informed the Slovak government
of the matter. We have acted according to international rules and the Vienna Convention.”
