Tehran, YJC. Clergyman says that as a clerical figure and President, Rouhani will be able to build the status of the clergy in society.
Reza Taqavi, member of the Central Council of the Society of Combatant Clergy, provided comments on his visit to the President-elect and said "In this meeting we delivered out congratulations on behalf of the members and expressed happiness that a member of the Society of Combatant Clergy has won the elections. Above all, what is important is that the elected person is a clergy. That is an important privilege with the President-elect.”
Taqavi pointed out "Rouhani's success in serving people is not only that of the President, but the success of a clerical President, which can boost the status of the clergy.”
He added "Also in this meeting it was said that the Society of Combatant Clergy hopes that with Mr. Rouhani as a clergyman on the stage, friendship prevails the country. Mr. Rouhani has the ability to boost friendly relations in the clerical society.”
