TEHRAN, October 31 - Head of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali-Akbar Salehi stressed the country’s self-reliance in producing power plant fuel.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC)- “We do not need self-sufficiency in producing power plant fuel but we have to be self-reliant, so that we can produce fuel for our power plants in case we are sanctioned,” he said.
He said countries such as the UAE, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia are moving towards building nuclear power plants since these power plants are economical.
As to providing fuel for new units of Bushehr power plant, he said, “We will make effort to produce fuel for these units as much as we can show the world that we are capable of doing it.
