Tehran, YJC. Firouzabadi has warned Friends of Syria to take lesson from the former Qatari Emir, being the first victim of investments on al-Qaeda and enmity with the Islamic world.
Chief
of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces Major General Hassan Firouzabadi criticizing
countries which provide equipment for terrorists in Syria said "US and the West
miscalculated over Syria. The public resistance in Syria will be the final
winner. The West must know that the equation will not change for al-Qaeda and
its allies with heavy amounts of weaponry.”
He added
"The airborne weapons to Syria by some countries of the Persian Gulf region
will get into the hands of al-Qaeda.”
"The
US and the West must know that al-Qaeda will not limit itself to Syria and
Iraq. It knows no borders. The weapons
will boomerang on the White House, the Apostolic Palace, and the Élysée Palace,”
he said.
Firouzabadi
believed that the fact that the West equips al-Qaeda is very curious because it
will be a threat to the Zionist regime, Jordan, and the northern neighbors of Syria.
The
Chief of Staff of Armed Forces warned that Syria is likely to turn into another
Afghanistan by the Mediterranean Sea and next to Europe.
He asserted
"Right now much of US interests is within the range of the weapons given to Syrian
terrorists. The West must stop this modern madness and follow the path to peace
and unity with the countries of the world and must know that the fire-bearer
will burn in his own fire.”
He exclaimed
"We warn the so-called ‘Friends of Syria’ who back al-Qaeda against the legal
government of Syria to fear the fate of the dismissed Qatari Emir who was the
first victim of investment on al-Qaeda and enmity with the Islamic world. They cannot
think that cooperation with the US and Zionists and their support for bloodshed
will ensure their position. In fact the fate of the former Qatari Emir is a
true mirror to his like-minded folks in the Friends of Syria meeting.”
