Tehran, YJC. Foreign Minister says there is no problem to resume flights between Iran and the US.
Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs said in response to the
news of US officials offering to restore Iran-US flights "We do not have any
problem with civil flights between the two countries, they used to do. We welcome
such offers from all countries. We have lots of Iranians there, so this would
be a good facility for them to travel easily.”
Salehi then provided answer to a question regarding the state
of affairs in Egypt and said "Enemies of Egypt are trying to disrupt the calm
and integrity that exists among the Egyptian nation. We hope that the Egyptian
officials are watchful and will not allow ill-intenders to expose Egypt to
disquiet and disaster.”
He also said regarding developments in Qatar "We hope that
with changes made in Qatar real revisions are made to Qatar’s old policies,
especially with regard to regional developments and Syria in particular.”
He also pointed to the Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister’s
statements about Iran’s interference with Syria’s internal affairs, saying "What
the Saudi Foreign Minister says is full of contradictions. With all due
respect, if they review their own words, they will find that contradictions are
so big that there will be no need for us to mention them. We hope that they adopt
positions as to help strengthen bonds rather than distance us from each other. We
try our best to bring the two countries together.”
