TEHRAN, October 28 - Russian Ambassador to Iran Dzhagaryan told the media that President Putin will arrive in Tehran on Wednesday to attend the trilateral meeting of Iran, Russia, and Azerbaijan.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Levan Dzhagaryan, Russian Ambassador to Tehran broke the news on Friday, adding that Mr. Vladimir Putin will also have bilateral meetings with Iranian officials in addition to the trilateral event.
Worth to mention, Ilham Aliyev, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan will also arrive in Tehran on the same Wednesday.
The first trilateral summit of the three countries was held in April 2016 at the level of foreign ministers in Azeri capital city of Baku after a ceasefire was brokered between Azerbaijan Republic and Armenia.
Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, and Azeri and Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov attended at the first meeting.
The first-ever trilateral summit between the Presidents of Azerbaijan, Iran and Russia was held in Azerbaijan's capital of Baku, where Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, Azeri President Ilham Aliyev, and Russian Head of State Vladimir Putin convened to discuss the North-South Transport Corridor and the Caspian Sea.
