Tehran,YJC. The Foreign Ministry Spokesman has responded to the Saudi FM’s statements on Iranian interference with Syria’s affairs by saying the country helps Syrian terrorists.
In response to statements by the Saudi Foreign Minister
relating the Islamic Republic of Iran to interference with the internal affairs
of Syria, the Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Abbas Araqchi said "Saudi Arabia
does not only make military interference in Bahrain, it violates all
international rules and conventions by providing the Syrian terrorists with all
sorts of weapons to turn into an accomplice for the Takfiri terrorists against
the helpless people of Syria.”
Araqchi denied the presence of Iranian forces in syria and
said "What Mr. Saud bin Faisal says is full of contradictions. There is the
trite claim that Iran interferes with Syrian affairs, while Saudi Arabia does
not only make military interference in Bahrain, it violates all international
rules and conventions by providing the Syrian terrorists with all sorts of
weapons to turn into an accomplice for the Takfiri terrorists against the
helpless people of Syria.”
He considered Saudi Arabia a great country with unique
capacities for bringing unity into Islamic societies and resolving problems
existing in the Islamic society, adding "It is a pity that the capacity now flies
against itself.”
Araqchi pointed to Iran’s attempts in cooperation with Saudi
Arabia to resolve the Syrian crisis in the framework of the quadrilateral talks, hoping that the efforts will meet
agreeable response by Saudi Arabia to lead to a peaceful way out of the Syrian crisis.
