TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Titled "Islam: Religion of Peace and Beauty”, it has been mounted at Bayt al-Sanari cultural institute in Cairo, Egypt’s capital city.
Artists from European, Asian and African countries such as Iraq, Indonesia, France, Egypt and Italy have showcased their calligraphy works at the expo.
It has been organized by Egypt’s Union of Calligraphers under the supervision of Alexandria Library.
Judat Muhammad, an official with the union, said the expo aims to present works that showcase Islam’s beauties through different forms of Arabic calligraphy.
He also called for more efforts to promote Islamic calligraphy and encouraging those active in the field.
