TEHRAN, October 23 - Linking the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) to Iran's defense capabilities is wrong, Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani said on Monday.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - He referred to the US' anti-Iranian measures and the country's demand for curbing Iran's missile defense capabilities and asked the question that why Islamic Republic should be deprived of its right of self-defense only because the US and its allies want Iran to be weak.
'Relating the JCPOA to Islamic Republic's defensive affairs is a wrong approach and Iran will not accept it,' the official noted.
He urged people and officials to be united against US' anti-Iranian policies and be heedless of the Washington's excessive demand.
Commenting on the US officials' opposition with Iran's regional influence, the cleric said that the Iranian military advisors are in Syria and Iraq upon an official request of these countries' legal governments.
