TEHRAN, October 23 - Iran and South Africa held their joint 13th commission in Pretoria.

Iran-South Africa hold joint commission in PretoriaTEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - The meeting was held in South Africa’s administrative capital on Monday with the two countries’ foreign ministers in attendance.

It was also attended by South Africa’s Trade and Industry Minister Rob Davies and business managers of the two countries.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif left Tehran for South Africa at the head of a ranking political and economic delegation on Saturday night. He is in Pretoria at the invitation of his South African counterpart Maite Nkoana-Mashabane.

The 12th meeting of the joint commission was hosted by the Islamic Republic in 2015 during a visit by the South African top diplomat.

Zarif’s next stop will take him to Uganda, where he will address expanding of bilateral political and economic relations. The Uganda stay is also scheduled to witness the inauguration of a 50-bed hospital financed by the Islamic Republic, Tasnim reported.

The Iranian foreign minister will finally fly to Niger to meet with the country’s top officials.
