Tehran, YJC. The Ayatollah has demanded Yusuf al-Qaradawi to stop stirring conflict in Syria.
Secretary
General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools Ayatollah Mohsen
Araki in a conference in Tunis asked the Islamic Scholar Yusuf al-Qaradawi to
keep from stirring war in Syria, Mehr reports.
Speaking
at the conference on Unity of the Muslim Nation, Araki said "Enemies of Islam
have planned a devilish scheme to disintegrate the Islamic nation. They stir ethnic
clashes in order to divert attentions from the real enemy, which is the Zionist
regime.”
Secretary
General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools stressed the need
for the Islamic nation to be vigilant before such schemes and blasted the
disintegrating procedures adopted by some outwardly religious figures of the Islamic
world.
He said
"Would it not be better if Yusuf al-Qaradawi and his like instead of
contributing to war and bloodshed in Syria bid people’s attention to the real
enemy, the Zionist regime?”
Peyman
Jebeli, Iran’s Ambassador to Tunisia also stressed the importance of Islamic
unity in his speech and stated "Today the Muslim expect to hear from their scholars
what would strengthen their lines against the real enemy, that is, the Zionist
regime, not words that would contribute to sedition and disagreement.”
In the
sidelines of the conference Ayatollah Araki met with Moncef Marzouki President of
Tunisia.
In this meeting Moncef Marzouki stressed his
opposition to any sort of foreign interference with Syria’s internal affairs
and the need to peacefully resolve the Syrian crisis.
