Tehran, YJC. Activist says that the Principalists were disloyal to the Supreme Leader in their disaccord.

Hossein Allahkaram, a Principalist activist and former IRGC high official, believed that one of the main reasons for Principalists to meet defeat in the 2013 presidential elections was their disharmony and ignorance of polarity as a great force in electoral contests, Tabnak reports.

Allahkaram regarded this disaccord as disloyalty to the Supreme Leader and believed that the recent wave of inflation as well as the Principalists' hegemonism greatly contributed to the failure of the Principalist current.

He believed that disregard for unity and the effects of a strong pole, along with tactical mistakes on the electoral campaigns greatly influenced the Principalists' chances of victory.

Allahkaram also stated that signals by the Supreme Leader upon his voting were a main factor in the nation’s inclination towards moderation.

He said "The Supreme Leader’s call for all, even those who did not believe in the Islamic Revolution, to join the elections, and his saying that people’s vote is a right of people were among the most important reasons for the moderate and Reformist to win on June 14.”
